Connect Scaffolding is a leading provider of construction hoists across the South-East of England, with a full range of products ranging from cable hoists through to Rack & Pinion Hoists.
We are looking for a Hoist Manager/Installer to join our team based at Hadham Park, with the ability to take ownership and management of the hoist and lifting equipment department. This role will involve working on the installation of various types of construction hoists and lifting equipment, with an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop and progress within the company.
What will you do?
- Management and development of the Hoist department.
- Liaising with construction Site Supervisors / Managers, to ensure the installation/dismantle process is communicated effectively and efficiently, whilst ensuring full compliance of health and safety standards.
- Carrying out all aspects of the management/maintenance/installation and dismantling of a broad range of construction site hoists in line with the company’s full compliance commitments.
- In line with business requirements, carry out site surveys, ensuring that all compliance of health and safety is met at all times.
- Working alongside fellow installers to ensure business standards are met, and health, safety and compliance is maintained.
- Maintaining/Repairing electrical and mechanical components and circuitry.
- Organise and produce test certification, handovers and customer operator training where required.
- Manage and train others to become competent hoist installers.
What would we like from you?
- Previous hoist installation experience essential.
- Be fully conversant with working at height.
- Be flexible in regard to travel and start/finish times – weekend work may be required.
- CSCS Card
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plant Installations as a minimum, preferably Level 3.
- Have excellent customer service skills.
- Be a sound communicator and have the confidence to communicate with different types of people, both external and internal.
- Be self-motivated, able to work using their own initiative and manage their own and others time, with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude.
- Enjoy problem solving and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Hold full clean driving licence.
