National Apprenticeship Week 2025
National Apprenticeship Week 2025
This week has been National Apprenticeship Week; a chance to look back, celebrate and shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships have on the individual and on our Company as a whole. Apprentices play a very important part in our Company and its development and growth – they are the future of Connect Scaffolding and are vital to move the business forward.
We currently have 17 employees on an Apprenticeship program, with another 9 due to start their training this year. Within the last year, 10 have completed their training and are now working out on site as qualified Scaffolders, some already running jobs!
The support given to Apprentices out on site by their Managers and Supervisors is paramount in their development and success. The mentoring and training, not to mention the time invested in them, is so valuable and ensures that, as a Company, developing the potential of our people remains as one of our top priorities.
The Essex Construction Training Association Ltd celebrated National Apprenticeship Week with their annual Excellent Trainee Awards, where they recognise the hard work and dedication of apprentices and trainees who are excelling and making a great contribution to the industry. I am proud to say that one of our apprentices, Oliver, was awarded the “Highly Commended” award in the Structures category. Well done to Oliver, you should be very proud of yourself, and many thanks to the Essex Construction Training Association Ltd for the wonderful event, celebrating excellence within the construction industry
